20th, 21st, 22nd May - TRAINING As part of a longer course in TV & FILM Hair & Makeup Course for MUAs, the module for Afro Hair is available as a standalone intensive course. Our comprehensive, industry-focused program designed for makeup artists who want to polish their skills for fashion shoots, and commercial work or break into TV, film, and live events. This course is ideal for those who have good foundational training, but are finding they are not booking jobs due to lack of skills in some areas of makeup, hair and a lack of network in the West Midlands. This intensive course teaches essential techniques in Afro Hair for MUAs. You’ll learn everything from understanding afro & textured hair and essential techniques, curl patterns, product knowledge. hair shrinkage, advamced styling techniques and protective hair styles, including braiding and curl manipulation, stretching, blow drying and wig preparation. One of the most valuable aspects of this course is its strong industry focus. You’ll receive additonal mentorship and industry advice with experienced professionals from the industry. In addition, you will have the option to add on a portfolio professional photoshoot, allowing you to build images to boost your portfolio, crucial for freelance or studio work. Our expert lecturers will guide you in creating a mood board and preparing your work for a final portfolio review. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a professional certification in Afro Hair styling. |
