Learn Special Effects Make-Up From the Pros at The Central School of Make-Up
Birmingham, UK –29th July– This summer, The Central School of Make-Up is throwing open its studio doors for a one-of-a-kind Teen SFX Summer Camp, giving young creatives aged 14–18 the chance to dive into the world of special effects, movie magic, and jaw-dropping transformations.
Taking place over three days, the bootcamp is perfect for teens who love Halloween, horror films, cosplay, theatre, or just experimenting with make-up in a big, bold way. Taught by working industry professionals, students will learn the secrets behind bruises, cuts, scars, zombie make-up, ageing techniques, and more — all in a safe, inclusive, and confidence-building environment.
“We created this course for the next generation of artists who want to express themselves and explore the creative industries,” says Laura, Director of The Central School of Make-Up. “It’s hands-on, it’s fun, and it gives young people a taste of what it’s like to work in film, TV, or theatre.”
