As the natural light outside becomes warmer following the forwarding of the clocks, it’s definitely time to start considering the next element to your Make-up Wardrobe!
Spring is all about ditching the mono tones in your Make-up pallet and starting to think about adopting a little more colour with a hint of shimmer to catch the early spring light. Firstly, invest in a good brow shape up. This will ensure your eyes are looking open and alert, plus done correctly, can add a youthful appearance to the face. We’d recommend sourcing a good HD Brow practitioner or investing in the latest trend of Microblading to whip your brows into the best shape they can be. If your brows only require a little TLC, then a simple tidy up with a good old fashion pair of tweezers will do just fine. To add depth fill in any gaps and groom the arch with a wax based pencil. My current favourite is Kiko Eyebrow Sculpt Automatic Pencil in shade 01.
Maximise your eyes full potential with a curl of the lashes to really open them up, I love Shu Uemura lash curlers. A little pricier than the average pair of lash curlers, however worth every penny.
Have you ever wondered how to make your eye colour pop? Here’s a general rule of thumb…Blue eyes should opt for warm peaches, bronze, warm browns, rusts, golds or apricots. Texture from MAC is a great versatile shade and guaranteed to flatter the Spring light. If you have green eyes, try soft muted mauves such as MAC Haux or deep blackberries to compliment the green. Brown eyed girls work well with cool grey tones. Think shades of dove, silvered, stone and slate. Even adding a hint of this season hottest shade of Blue should you dare.
Looking for added sparkle? Why not add a touch of soft highlight to the inner corners of the eyes to create width or a smattering of highlight applied with a fan brush to the tops of the cheekbone. Sweep upwards and outwards using the fan brush to gently catch the hairline. A great highlighter for face and body is Rosie for Autograph Rose Bud highlight.
Some hot Spring Eye Collections that we are full of anticipation for are:
Chanel Coco Code Spring 2017 Collection
Lancôme A Very Rose Collection
Complete the eyes with lashings of Mascara, top picks this season are Estee Lauder Sumptuous Knockout, Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara and Tom Ford Limited Edition Waterproof Extreme Mascara.
Spring wouldn’t be Spring without a hint of coral on the lips! My ultimate favourite is Coral Bliss by MAC for fair to medium skins and either Rouge Coco Shine in Shipshape or Rouge Coco in Misia for darker tones!
Enjoy!
