Gender Affirming Makeup Lessons in Birmingham

Makeup is more than simply how we look. It can be a wonderful way to express who we are, explore our identity and feel more confident in ourselves.

At The Central School of Makeup in Birmingham, we offer private, one-to-one gender affirming makeup lessons in a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment.

Whether you're completely new to makeup, exploring a more feminine appearance or looking to develop your existing skills, our experienced professional makeup artists are here to help you feel comfortable, confident and entirely yourself.

A Personalised Makeup Experience, Just for You

We understand that everyone's journey is different. Our gender affirming makeup tuition is tailored to your individual needs, preferences and experience, with no expectations about how you should look or what you should want to achieve.

Before your lesson, we'll discuss what you'd like to learn, whether that's creating a natural everyday look, developing your confidence with makeup or exploring something more glamorous.

Our private makeup studio provides a relaxed space where you can ask questions, practise techniques and learn at your own pace.

What Will You Learn?

Your lesson is designed around you and may include:

Understanding your skin tone and choosing suitable foundation and concealer
Creating a natural, feminine or more glamorous makeup look
Learning techniques to enhance or soften facial features
Eye makeup, eyebrow shaping and defining your features
Colour choices for your complexion, including blush and lipstick
Practical advice on products, brushes and everyday makeup application

There's no pressure to master everything in one session. Our aim is to help you develop practical skills that you can confidently recreate at home.

A Welcoming Space for Transgender and Non-Binary Clients

Our private makeup lessons are suitable for trans women, transgender and non-binary individuals, and anyone wishing to explore makeup as part of their personal expression.

We appreciate that booking your first makeup lesson can feel like a significant step. Our team approaches every appointment with care, sensitivity and respect, allowing you to enjoy the experience in a comfortable and supportive setting.
