14TH NOVEMBER - 6TH DECEMBER 2024 - TRAINING 9TH & 10TH DECEMBER - INDUSTRY TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP 11TH DECEMBER - PORTFOLIO SHOOT DAY OUR 4-Week Professional TV & FILM Hair & Makeup Course for MUAs, a comprehensive, industry-focused program designed for makeup artists who want to break into TV, film, and live events. This course is ideal for those who have good foundational training, but are finding they are not booking jobs due to lack of skills in some areas of makeup, hair and a lack of network in the West Midlands. This intensive course combines essential techniques in Afro hair styling for MUAS, barbering for MUAs, on-screen makeup artistry. You’ll learn everything from creating bruises and burns to mastering historical hairstyles, age makeup, and character creation for film and television. The curriculum includes training in professional airbrush techniques and hair preparation for TV presenters, celebrities, and dancers. One of the most valuable aspects of this course is its strong industry focus. You’ll receive 2 full days of mentorship and industry advice with experienced professionals from the industry. Day 1 will be focused on you how to get your cv ready, build your network, find those opportunities in the West Midlands, review your current portfolio and provide advice on where to plug the gaps. Day 2 will focus on set. Etiquette, planning, presence, advocating for oneself, kit preparation, working in a team, who is in the team. Character and Script breakdowns and much more. In addition, you will participate in a portfolio professional photoshoot, allowing you to build images to boost your portfolio, crucial for freelance or studio work. Our expert lecturers will guide you in creating a mood board and preparing your work for a final portfolio review. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a professional certification in Special Effects Makeup, Afro Hair, Barbering, and TV Makeup Artistry. |
