As part of a longer course in TV & FILM Hair & Makeup Course for MUAs, the module for Barrbering is available as a standalone intensive course. Our comprehensive, industry-focused program designed for makeup artists who want to break into TV, film, and live events. This course is ideal for those who have good foundational training, but are finding they are not booking jobs due to lack of skills in some areas of makeup, hair and a lack of network in the West Midlands. This intensive course teaches essential techniques in Barbering for MUAs. You’ll learn everything from period styles, continuity, clippering, trimming including moustaches and beards. One of the most valuable aspects of this course is its strong industry focus. You’ll receive 2 full days of mentorship and industry advice with experienced professionals from the industry. Day 1 will be focused on you how to get your cv ready, build your network, find those opportunities in the West Midlands, review your current portfolio and provide advice on where to plug the gaps. Day 2 will focus on set. Etiquette, planning, presence, advocating for oneself, kit preparation, working in a team, who is in the team. Character and Script breakdowns and much more. In addition, you will have the option to add on a portfolio professional photoshoot, allowing you to build images to boost your portfolio, crucial for freelance or studio work. Our expert lecturers will guide you in creating a mood board and preparing your work for a final portfolio review. Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a professional certification in Special Effects Makeup, Afro Hair, Barbering, and TV Makeup Artistry. |
