The ideal Hair and Makeup Course Next dates: 12th September 2022 - 14th October 2022 This course is ideal for anyone who is considering building a career in Beauty & Bridal and in the more commercial area of fashion and beauty make-up, such as photography and runway. You will learn everything from how to create flawless skin to hairstyling techniques, through to the more creative style of fashion make-up. There is an emphasis on building a strong technical ability in the application, attention to detail, and good product knowledge. This course includes all of the elements offered in our 10 Week Diploma, excluding Special Effects and Theatre-based make-up. If you are looking for an intensive all-encompassing make-up course, then this is the ultimate course for you. On entry into the course, we will take you from the beginner’s Foundation level through to Hair (with no previous experience required) and onwards to Creative skills. All of our make-up courses are designed to give the student as much time applying make-up and hands-on experience as possible. There is no need to undertake a separate foundation module prior to starting this 5-week course as it includes within the first two weeks all the basic elements required. Over the following weeks, students will spend each day under the instruction of top specialist make-up artists who will be handing over all the latest techniques and looks in various aspects of high fashion, photographic, and media make-up. The creative curriculum covers; high fashion/editorial, photographic and catwalk looks, followed by TV, film, black & white, fantasy, body painting, airbrushing, burlesque/vintage, modern Asian bridal. You will also have five days in dressing hair with a hair session stylist for up-styles, bridal, events, occasions, and shoots including blow-drying techniques and platting. During this all-encompassing course you will take part in both a colour and monochrome photographic shoot on an agency model and shot by our professional fashion photographer Garazi to help start off your portfolio. You will also be invited to other work experience opportunities, where you will be assisting or responsible for preparing models on set. You will need to take photographic evidence of your work daily, therefore you will need a good camera on your smart phone, or a digital camera. |
