The Central School of Make-up Event Team - Laura Hannon
Our glam squad have been in demand this past few months around the city! The team of highly skilled Make-up Graduates from the Central School of Make-up have attended events and fashion shoots in the cities hotspots The Vaults, Malmaison, Fazeley Studios and Links of London to name a few. Working their make-up magic to meet the demand for talented make-up artists across the city. Here are some of the highlights of the past couple of months.
Since launching in late February, the team kicked off the busy season of make-up by attending the popular Nails & Networking event, hosted at the uber cool Fazeley Studios. Throughout the evening the team offered quick make- up ‘pick me ups’ to get the ladies networking event off to a flying start. The make-up theme of the evening was Gloss & Bronze with each lady being offered an application of their chosen lip-gloss and a dusting of the spring/summer essential Bronzer. The products were supplied by mineral make-up brand Bellapierre. In between the pampering, there was time for a quick live make-up demo, showcasing the ease of ‘Desk to Disco’ make-up. A quick trick every women should know.
Shortly after the Nails & Networking, we were approached to attend a shoot that was taking place at the cities Malmaison Hotel. With a love of all things luxury and a talent for fashion make-up, Diana, headed off to the Penny Black Suite to make-up the beautiful model for this night time fashion shoot. Inspired by the dulcet tones and opulent surroundings. Diana created a beautiful classic smoky eye. The results were stunning and the stylist was thrilled with the make-up and hair designs produced.
It’s always great when events cross over with a fun night out! This is exactly what happened at our next attended event held at The Vaults. The theme… Zoo Project! Our artists turned night time revellers at the bar into glamorous beasts. Using aqua colours and glitters to create themed yet wearable designs of Zebras, Tigers and Birds of Paradise. The evening went down a treat and so did the Mojitos!
When we were invited to attend Links of London in the Bullring for its annual Spring Fashion Fix, we simply couldn’t resist. Make-up artists were on hand in the store to offer customers a well needed make-up refreshment after all the shopping! The only drawback was resisting the temptation to shop ourselves.
As the spring weather warms up the city the make-up event calendar is staring to fill up! More to come from Birmingham’s Glam Squad!
