Launch of Pro-Teen Bootcamp for aspiring Artists in 2021

The Central School of Make-Up are delighted to launch ‘Pro-Teen Boot Camp’.   This is a new course, and part of a number of other courses delivered by our team of professional lecturers.

Aimed at 14-17 year olds, this is the first course of its kind in the industry for this age group. This hands-on course allows students to dive into the world of professional makeup in a safe, educational setting during school holidays.

The Central School of Makeup, was first established in 2013 and has since become one of the best training schools in the UK.  The school offers the highest standard of education and curriculum within the make-up industry.

This course is perfect for beginners, aspiring MUAs or those who are thinking of a career in the industry.  Our fun, friendly environment will give teens the opportunity to learn pro 'tricks of the trade' and socialise amongst passionate, like-minded individuals.

“Our industry plays such a prominent role in popular culture. A surge in social media based makeup trends and the rise of the Beauty Influencer has driven a demand in enquiries from parents searching for courses for younger people.” said Laura, CSMU Creative Director

“Parents have expressed that whilst their teens have access to millions of tutorials online, there is a lack of support and information for those that want to know more. There is no one to ask questions to, get feedback from or understand why an artist may pick one product over an other.  It can leave people feeling lost, or making the wrong purchase choices for their own make-up kits.”

“It was important that we created a course that provided a unique, safe, encouraging environment for young people to learn in.  A place where they can ask questions without any time restrictions and access to products that they may not get access to at home.”

During this two day course, students will receive industry talks,  learn the basics of colour theory and selecting the right makeup for themselves.  Students will be trained how to manage their own makeup kit hygienically.  They will watch professional demonstrations and then learn two makeup looks on themselves.

“Our School, has an excellent reputation for maintaining exemplary hygiene standards.  Now more than ever, this should be at the heart of training for our young learners, teaching best practices for life.”

“In addition, this is a very personal industry.  Being amongst peers with the same passion for make-up is great for expanding personal and social skills.” said Laura. “We are so excited to launch this new, inclusive course that will give young people the chance to learn together.”

Located in Birmingham City Centre, The Central School of Make-up is based in the The Custard Factory, the heart of Birmingham’s creative district.  The course will take place on 17th and 18th February, 2021.

The Central School of Makeup’s safe guarding policy requires our qualified lecturers are DBS Checked and have an active Emergency First Aid Certificate. To find more out about this course, please click on the link or email info@centralschoolofmakeup.co.uk
